Hi, I’m Joshua Mannila, an Oregon-based photographer who somehow went from taking photos on an iPad mini to building an entire life around making them.

I’ve always been obsessed with creating; not just taking a good photo, but figuring out what makes an image unique. I find inspiration from magazines, music and music videos, movies, paintings, fashion, and pretty much anything that makes me stop and look twice. I love taking pieces of those influences and turning them into something that feels completely my own. I also love traveling!

My work moves between portraits, couples, and creative projects. A lot has changed since the iPad mini, but I think the reason I do it has stayed pretty much the same: I just really like making cool things with people.
